ISNetworld RAVS written program review

Written health and safety programs

RAVS reviews each submitted written program against regulatory requirements and the hiring client's requirements, then gives the contractor guidance on any gaps.

  • Each element the hiring client requires
  • Revision date after reviewer feedback

ISNetworld MSQ-triggered RAVS requirements

Management System Questionnaire answers

Certain MSQ answers trigger added RAVS requirements, which can take up to 24 hours to appear and then affect the contractor's RAVS scores.

  • Answers consistent with programs on file
  • A written program for each triggered requirement

ISNetworld document collection

Insurance, incident and workers' compensation documents

ISN collects written programs, incident forms, insurance certificates and workers' compensation documents, and RAVS checks submissions for accuracy, relevance and timeliness.

  • Current policy periods and expiration dates
  • Incident forms matching reported statistics

Avetta safety manual audit

Safety manual for Avetta manual audits

Avetta's safety manual audits review a contractor's written safety policies and procedures, focusing on the areas of the manual each hiring client marks as important.

What gets asked for on the day

What reviewers sample about these documents and the people they cover.

Each program against the client's checklist

Reviewers compare uploaded programs with regulatory requirements and the hiring client's own requirements, which ISNetworld lets clients configure by location, risk level or specific designations.

Programs triggered by questionnaire answers

Some MSQ answers create added RAVS requirements, so a contractor reporting an activity or hazard is asked for the matching written program.

Proof of implementation on request

Under RAVS 360, ISN reviews training records and supporting documents and interviews contractor representatives about how specific written programs are carried out.

Current, unexpired documents

Avetta monitors expiration and renewal of uploaded documents and ISN reviews submissions for timeliness, so dates on each program, certificate and record are checked.

Questions

Does a RAVS written program review confirm the program is implemented?

ISN states that the written program review assesses the documents and does not confirm implementation. Implementation is the subject of RAVS 360, which hiring clients can request.

Who decides which written programs a contractor needs?

Each hiring client configures its own requirements, and ISNetworld lets clients set them by location, risk level or specific designations. Applicable regulations form the other half of the review.

Do the platforms supply program templates?

ISN offers RAVS Assist templates and guidance and states they are not legal, compliance or professional advice. Each contractor remains responsible for the content of its programs.

What grade do hiring clients expect?

Thresholds belong to each client. In one ISN case study, a hiring client states that it requires an A or B rating in ISNetworld from all of its subcontractors.

How are ISNetworld contractor fees set?

ISN's FAQs say contractors pay an annual subscription fee and a one-time account setup fee per country. Both are based on a three-year average employee count.
