Our biggest release this year is about how documents move: from writing, through approval, to the people who need to read them. Approvals are clearer to follow, folders and documents are easier to work with, and a long list of fixes makes everyday use steadier.
Always the latest version in the editor
The editor now always opens the most recent saved content, so nobody ends up editing on top of an older copy of a policy.
Short interactive walkthroughs now sit inside AllyMatter, so anyone new can see how a feature works without leaving the page they are on.
Steadier permissions and access
Who can see and do what is now handled more consistently across documents, folders and settings, along with a set of smaller fixes that make the whole app more reliable.
e-sign, built in
Send an approved document to the people who need to sign it, inside or outside your company. Signers add a signature, initials, a date or text, and the signed copy comes with a completion certificate. e-sign is an add-on on the Scale plan.
Everyone you ask to sign gets an email, the document shows that signing is under way, and the document's Editor is notified as soon as everyone has signed. The audit log records who was asked and each step.
Sign in to AllyMatter with your Microsoft work account, alongside Google and email and password, on both plans.
Share a document with someone outside your company
Invite someone to open a single document with a one-time code, or give a consultant or contractor an account that works like a staff member's, with tags. Both can read, acknowledge and sign, and viewing is free.
The audit log now records how many people gained or lost access when a document's tags change, each automatic reminder and review request, and the cancellation of pending acknowledgment requests, with the reason given.
Comparing two versions now opens with how many sections changed and how many words were added and removed, alongside the marked-up additions and deletions.
If an approver loses a tag the document carries while an approval is running, the approval is canceled and the document goes back to Draft, so the Editor can fix the flow and send it again.
If you have not been given access to any documents yet, you now see a clear empty state instead of a blank page.
One login for every workspace
Consultants and anyone who works with several companies can move between all of their workspaces with one login, while each company keeps owning and paying for its own.

Expiry in the audit log
When a document reaches its expiry date, the audit log records it, so the history shows exactly when a policy stopped being shown to its audience.
Full names are no longer clipped, tags save before a workflow is added, the distribute option appears once, resolving comments is tidier and the documents page is easier to read.
